Ready for a FREE Online Novel? I found a really nice story, actually, there are several stories/novels on this author's blog! I happen to enjoy post-apocalyptic fiction and there are a lot of stories in this genre. Fortunately, many are free online in the form on blogs or online diaries. Here are a couple from one author and below you'll find more...
Kathy in Florida has a few stories - here are the one's I've read and recommend. They are well written with minimal issues with grammar. (Some free online blogs have many errors, this author is pretty good at editing her stuff!)
"Fel by the Wayside" is a good one about a teen slave that gets bought & brought to a new village to be married. It's set far in the future, but the people are living like the Renaissance period as almost all 'tech' is gone. Adventure, drama & just enough 'bad guy' characters to make you mad, but not wince.
"The Best Laid Plans of Mice & Men" is about an asteroid hit and what happens in a bunker & harsh climate & weather in the aftermath.

If you like the concept of asteroid or meteor hits, then the better one from A.T. Hagan is:
"We Interrupt This Program" which is a detailed account of surviving an asteroid hit & subsequent tsunami that destroyed several cities and led to food & gas shortages. Farming is a BIG saving grace in this story... Also coming together & setting new laws for society. Great read!
We Interrupt This Program from A.T. Hagan
Has anyone read these? I have many many others to post - my next session will detail a page full of my favorite post-Apocalypse fiction!
PS - I did read the books from Susan Beth Pfeffer about the Moon moving closer to earth after an asteroid strike, but they were far too depressing! (They were excellent & realistic, I just didn't like the endings is all...) http://susanbethpfeffer.blogspot.com/
